Key Takeaway
There is a vast disparity between EU member states' most valuable companies. Denmark’s Novo Nordisk and France’s LVMH are worth around to $500 billion each. On the other hand, (not pictured), Latvia’s Latvijas Gāze is worth only around $400 million.
In fact, only 12 countries, representing less than half the EU, are home to the top 100 most valuable companies within the bloc. An additional four countries are represented in the top 200. These companies span a wide range of industries, from technology and finance to energy and luxury goods.
